8.8 Oceanstor File Storage¶

8.8.1 Oceanstor file system introduction¶

OceanStor is an enterprise-grade storage product series launched by Huawei. The computing center has deployed the OceanStor Pacific series distributed file storage system, which features a fully symmetric distributed architecture, multi-protocol convergence and interoperability, and high-density hardware design. It currently provides data storage services for multiple experiments such as LHAASO, BSRF, and HEPS.

The information for the current OceanStor file system is shown in the table below.

8.8.2 Oceanstor File System Usage Guide¶

1） Access Protocol¶

OceanStor can be accessed through the private DPC client. Access devices need to support the RoCE network protocol and drivers. Currently, DPC only supports access to /heps/beamline.

Clients configured with 100Gb network cards can achieve aggregated read/write performance exceeding 8 GB/s.

2) Recycle Bin¶

In file systems with the Recycle Bin feature enabled, a hidden .recyclebininternal directory will be generated under a user's home directory after data deletion, for example: home/lhaaso/userA/.recyclebininternal

Different instances have different Recycle Bin file retention periods:

Note

Files in the Recycle Bin will count against the user's quota.

3） User Quota Query¶

Currently, only users of /home/lhaaso can query their personal quotas. Support for other file systems is under development. A command for querying personal quotas is provided on the login nodes of the computing cluster, for example:
